Andrew Silber is a first degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. He was awarded the rank of black belt in 2015 from the Alliance affiliate in New Jersey. His interest in Brazilian jiu jitsu began in 2009, after retiring from a 20 year wrestling career as an accomplished national-level wrestler. Among his many martial arts achievements are finishing top 20 in the 2009 NCAA D1 championships at 197 lbs, representing the USA internationally in both freestyle and greco wrestling, and winning the 2010 New Jersey Golden Gloves Boxing Championship. In 2015, Andrew moved to Richmond to pursue a full time career as a firefighter, and joined the Revolution BJJ instructor staff in August.
