Imagine being in a fight and having twice as many options to attack as your opponent.
Now imagine having four times as many.
Muay Thai is often called “The Art of 8 Limbs.” Practitioners of Muay Thai Kickboxing use punches, kicks, knees, and elbows to inflict damage. Even better, Muay Thai utilizes the clinch, a close-range tool by which you can deliver devastating strikes to end any fight, or throw your opponent to the ground.
Revolution Muay Thai is spearheaded by experienced veterans Jon Krimsier and Jarrett Church, who have a combined 35 years of experience!
What do I need to start training in Thai Boxing (Muay Thai)?
Nothing! If you’re in the Richmond, VA area, you can get started right away. Find out more about our 8 week intro program. Our instructors will work with you individually to make sure you understand the basics of footwork, punching, and kicking before you’ll be “thrown to the wolves.” You won’t spar until you’re ready to spar (it’s always optional), and you’ll get a great workout.
Eventually, you will need gloves, groin protection, and a mouth guard. You may also want to purchase shin guards and hand wraps, along with Thai shorts. We can help you find everything you need for our program.
Best of all, if you’re just getting started, Revolution BJJ is right for you. We offer intro classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays. This ongoing program is specifically geared towards beginners to kickboxing, and will give you the foundation you need to attend our Level 2 and Level 3 classes!
